Cherrypick Introductions - Giving you choices!
About Us...

Hello and welcome to Cherrypick Private Client Introductions, I my name is Lynette Berry (Turner) I am the director and owner of Cherrypick and I am thrilled that you have visited my website.

I started my career in hospitality many moons ago and soon realised that I had a talent for making people feel comfortable, welcome and at ease. This aptitude gave me the confidence to pursue a career in sales and management (in between bringing-up three children) and has left me with a passion for helping people.

In my private life; I have a wonderful close family and have lived in the Cotswolds for most of my life but I did also live in France for four and a half years. I have been married twice and I am now married to the most wonderful man who I actually met via an internet dating site – yes they do work!
I have three fantastic boys, the eldest is 23 and is a photographic journalist; he has already worked in Bosnia, Israel, Transnistria and has just come back from Afghanistan. My middle son is 21 and is serving with his regiment the Queens’s Royal Hussars in Afghanistan at the moment; he has already done a tour of Iraq. My youngest boy is 18 and is at college and wants to be a concept design artist.

We have a lovely home which we have renovated; it is now almost perfect. We have just started on the garden and have great plans for it  We share our home with Eric who is a French Fox Terrier and is the funniest dog you could ever wish to meet. He loves cats; especially when they run as he would happily spend his whole life chasing them.

My life hasn’t always been so idyllic, I have had some pretty bad times along the way but I have always managed to pick myself up and start again. I observe two basic mantras in life; both have helped me in my darkest hours. The first is “roads are for journeys not destinations” and the second is “you snooze you lose” I have never regretted anything I have done but there are a few things I wouldn’t do again and have learned from my mistakes.

When I found myself single again after my second husband left me for someone else; I was a bit lost for a while. Although I am usually quite self-assured; I felt like I had had the stuffing knocked out of me and my self confidence was rather low. A friend suggested that I should join an internet dating site. Well... I can tell you it frightened me to death initially but I soon got the hang of it and could spot the time-wasters and con merchants from a mile away. I originally joined it as a confidence booster; it was nice to have men telling me that they found me attractive and I began to get my confidence back again. I met some lovely guys and dated a couple for a while, however I did have some less pleasant experiences too, nothing I couldn’t handle but it taught me how to avoid making the same mistakes again.

I remember thinking there must be an easier way to do this. I was getting fed up with guys contacting me who had obviously not read my profile. This is when I had the idea of setting up my own business; to help people find that ‘someone special’ but somehow develop a way to make sure that people were who they said they were. Create a company that would take care of its clients and ensure that photographs on profiles were taken recently and not 20 years ago when they had teeth and hair! I put the idea to the back of my mind until I was in a position to do something about it.

After conducting fairly extensive market research; I finally launched Cherrypick Dating; a local internet dating site for the Cotswolds. Everyone seemed to love the idea and we created plenty of interest but I couldn’t get people (probably because it was local) to load a photo on their profiles. Sadly when people visited the site to see if they liked the look of someone; there were no photos to view so visitors didn’t bother joining. I also arranged free drop-in singles’ social events locally; again in theory this was a great idea but I just couldn’t persuade enough men to come to the events. In spite of this lack of men I did have some success stories; one couple met at a social event and three weeks later they were engaged. These experiences led me to change tack slightly and offer Private Client Introductions as this seems to be the most effective method of getting people together without compromising their safety, privacy or free time. One of my first clients met the man of her dreams in only her second introduction.

I also write a regular article in the Cheltonian magazine; I am their Dating Fairy Godmother so please take a look at this month’s article on the website. I am also a regular guest for BBC Radio Coventry and Warwickshire which is great fun; I talk about of all sorts of things but mainly dating and especially how to keep safe on a date. I also help people individually with dating issues through dating-coaching especially people who lack confidence or have been out of the dating scene for a while and now find themselves alone due to divorce or bereavement.

I hope this helps you to get to know me a little bit better and helps you to make the right choices. The next step is up to you so why don’t you give me a call to find out how I can help you with your quest for love. Please take some time to look around the site especially  at what my client have said about me on “What My Client Say”page on the website and take a look at the Becoming a Private Client page to find out a little bit more.
